Trader Joe's Continues Expansion with New Store Openings

While many retailers are scaling back, Trader Joe's is forging ahead with plans to open new locations. On April 11, a company spokesperson informed USA TODAY that the California-based grocery chain has already launched two new stores in 2025 and has 21 more slated to open soon. The company updates its expansion list monthly.

Trader Joe's currently operates 581 stores across 42 states and Washington, D.C. The states yet to see a Trader Joe's are Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Mississippi, and West Virginia.
